Salary/Wge: $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Job Summary/Description: KKTV has an immediate opening for a meteorologist to join the 11 Alert Weather team. The successful candidate will have experience interpreting weather forecast models and effectively communicating with our southern Colorado audiences on broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. We are looking for experienced candidates who can demonstrate credibility and personality on our market-leading platforms.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyze and interpret weather data and forecast models to prepare accurate, informative weather content for all platforms.
- Prepare weather presentations using the WSI-MAX graphic system.
- Cover disruptive and severe weather on a variety of platforms.
- Cover severe and breaking weather situations across all platforms
- Develop and post unique weather content to station website, social media accounts, and apps
- Flexibility in scheduling to cover severe weather or fill in for other weather team members
- Work closely with meteorologists, news management, and producers.
Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in meteorology, atmospheric science, or a related field.
- Previous broadcast meteorology experience; digital content experience preferred.
- Demonstrable on-camera experience illustrating an engaging/comfortable/credible presentation.
- Demonstrable writing experience.
- Good communication skills with experience working with colleagues in a collaborative environment.
